OK, so I am on my second mug of coffee, the goats are milked and the pigs, rabbits, and chickens fed ... there is a reason we get up early here! A couple random notes: first, I am allowing anonymous comments here, so if you don't want (or have trouble starting) a DW account you can still chime in. All comments are screened ... even my replies, apparently. I decided to adopt the Archdruid's comment policy, so no cussing, no flaming, no off-topic screeds, and no proselytizing of any kind (that's my pet peeve). I am on Eastern (US) time zone, unfortunately doing Daylight Stupid Time right now, but I go to bed early to wake up early to have enough coffee to deal with goats who are really just cats in disguise who try to get over any chance they can.
We've been joined by jcp_w who is blogging on his own journal, so cruise over there to subscribe. If I understand correctly, he has access to a hard copy of Memory Culture: The Science of Observing, Remembering, and Recalling through the Toronto library. It ought to be interesting to see what changed for WWA in the six years between that book and the memory book I'm reading.
Syfen, who originally brought the topic up this past Magic Monday, is doing Mind Power, and a couple others have signaled an interest, so I suppose we'll start things rolling. Everyone at their own pace and distance ... to mix metaphors, as long as the ball is making forward progress, we won't whistle it dead.
